Judge Denise Kathleen Filan       Judge Filan was elected a Circuit Court Judge in l998.   She began her career in the First Municipal District hearing traffic and misdemeanor matters for one year.  She was transferred to the Daley Center presiding over jury and non-jury cases, landlord tenant matters, pro se court and serving at the branch courts at Harrison and Kedzie, 51st and Wentworth and 111th and Ellis hearing felony preliminary and misdemeanor cases.       In  January, 2001, she was transferred to Domestic Violence Bond Court and Misdemeanor Jury Rooms located at 13th and Michigan Avenue.  She was then assigned to a courtroom hearing domestic violence and criminal sexual assault trials as well as order of protection hearings and jury trials.       She was transferred to the Fifth Municipal District Bridgeview Courthouse in March, 2003 where she has presided over cases in the domestic violence, misdemeanor jury, civil pro se, municipal traffic, felony preliminary hearings, and bond courtrooms and the civil order of protection court call. ...for more information, click here
