| Judge Susan J. McDunn Judge McDunn serves in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County in a jury trial room assignment. She has been a judge for more than seventeen years, and has presided over approximately 400 jury trials in her judicial career. In 2009, she conducted more jury trials than any other judge in the Law Division. Judge McDunn has an excellent appellate record as well. Within her last six‐year term, of all the orders she has entered, the Appellate Court reversed only one. Judge McDunn was elected to the bench in 1992, and retained in 1998 and 2004. She obtained her J.D. degree from De Paul University College of Law graduating near the top of her class, and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from De Paul University graduating summa cum laude. She has worked as an attorney with the national law firm of Kirkland & Ellis, and prior to that had been a law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. ...for more information, click here |
