Judge Irwin J. Solganick

      Irwin J. Solganick sits as a trial judge in the Law Division of the of the Circuit Court of
Cook County, Illinois. He was first elected to The Circuit Court in 1986, and has been
retained in 1992, 1998 and 2004. Judge Solganick has been in his present assignment
since December 1992. In this assignment Judge Solganick has presided over hundreds
of jury trials; as well as numerous contested motions and pre-trial conferences. He previously
has served in the Domestic Relations and First Municipal Divisions. Judge Solganick has
taught fellow judges at judicial conferences and has presented at continuing education
programs for attorneys. Additionally, Judge Solganick has been certified as a mediator since
2005. Judge Solganick earned his B.A. degree at the University of Illinois and his J.D. degree
at lIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law.
