Judge John D. Turner, Jr.       In November 1998, Turner was elected to the Circuit Court of Cook County. Judge Turner was initially assigned to the 1st Municipal District Traffic Center. In January 2000 he was assigned to the 6th Municipal District where he currently serves. Judge Turner hears misdemeanors and traffic cases which includes Illinois State Trooper and Cook County Sheriff Deputy cases. He maintains a motion call which includes petitions to rescind statutory summary suspensions, violations and motions to quash and suppress. Another current assignment includes a felony murder post conviction petition.
