Judge Susan F. Zwick

      Judge  Susan  Zwick  is assigned to the Law Jury  Division of the Circuit Court of
Cook County. In September 2001 through  July of 2002, and currently, since  January
2007  Judge  Zwick has presided over numerous jury trials, including multi-party litigation,
products liability, environmental and toxic tort,  actions for medical and legal malpractice,  
personal injury,  false arrest and imprisonment, breach of contract and construction
negligence cases.  Most of these trials are lengthy, highly publicized and complex.

      Judge  Zwick  is committed to continuing education for law students, lawyers, judges
and the public. Since 1994  she has  participated in both the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Association Education
Seminar series as a presenter/ speaker on topics that include Civil Torts Practice, Criminal / Civil Evidence,  Civil
Procedure,  Trial Advocacy  and Ethics.  Judge  Zwick  has  been a faculty member with the Administrative Offices of the
Illinois Courts/Judicial Education, and has  taught  Torts, Civil Procedure, Criminal and Civil Evidence to judges
throughout  Illinois.   She currently serves as a member of the New Judge Faculty since her appointment by the
Supreme Court in  2006, and teaches  Judicial  Ethics to those newly-elected  to the bench .  For the past five years,  
Judge Zwick has been designated and serves as a Judicial Mentor for new judges.  

      Since 2005,  Judge  Zwick has  been a visiting professor in  Trial Advocacy at the  University of Notre  Dame, and a
presenter at the Illinois Defense Council and National Business Institute.  She is also active in preventative justice,  and
is committed to educating both students and parents about the law.  One of the more successful programs entitled  
“Seven Reasons to Leave the Party”  is aimed educating  high school level students and preventing them from engaging
in risky or detrimental behavior.  Judge  Zwick is a  trained  presenter, and participant in this program.

      Judge Zwick has been found qualified for retention by all bar associations.
