Legal Experience: Judge Berman began his legal career with the
Office of the State Appellate Defender.  Immediately prior to becoming a judge, Berman was an assistant
public defender in Cook County.

Judicial Experience: Judge Berman was first elected to the bench in November 1996.  He was assigned to
serve in the 1st Municipal District of the Circuit Court of Cook County.  In September 1997, Judge Berman
was transferred to the Juvenile Justice Division, where he continues to serve.
