Judge Candace Jean Fabri

Legal Experience: After graduating from law school, Fabri clerked for
Joel M. Flaum, who was then a U.S. District Court judge. She was an
assistant U.S. attorney for 9 years, and was involved in the prosecution
of cases that resulted from the "Operation Greylord" investigation.
Immediately prior to becoming a judge, Fabri was a partner with the
firm of Sachnoff and Weaver (Chicago), handling commercial litigation
and white-collar defense. She served as counsel to the Judicial Inquiry
Board from 1991-96, prosecuting cases before the Illinois Courts Commission.

Judicial Experience: Judge Fabri was first elected to the bench in November 1996. She was assigned to
the Child Protection Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she continues to serve.

Awards : 1996, Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers; 1998, Professional Achievement Award,
Chicago-Kent Annual Alumnae Spring Event.
