Judge Patricia Martin Bishop

Legal Experience: For her entire legal career prior to becoming a judge, Martin was an assistant Cook County public
defender, working most recently as the deputy chief of the 5th Municipal District (Bridgeview).

Judicial Experience: In November 1996, Martin was first elected to the bench.  She was initially assigned to the Child
Protection Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.  She was later transferred to the Law Division.  On January 4,
2000, she was appointed the presiding judge of the Child Protection Division.

Awards : 1997, Outstanding Young Alumni Award (given to graduates under the age of 45 who have made significant
achievements during their careers), Northern Illinois University.
