Legal Experience: For her entire legal career prior to becoming a judge, Martin was an assistant Cook County public defender, working most recently as the deputy chief of the 5th Municipal District (Bridgeview). Judicial Experience: In November 1996, Martin was first elected to the bench. She was initially assigned to the Child Protection Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
