(private practice specializing in complex commercial litigation including class actions, shareholder derivative litigation and insurance declaratory actions) Judicial Experience In September 2000, Judge Mason was appointed to the bench. She was elected to a full term in November 2002. She initially served in the Traffic Section of the First Municipal District from September-December 2000. In January 2001, she was reassigned to the Juvenile Justice and Child Protection Department, Juvenile Justice Division, where she presided over juvenile delinquency matters. In July 2004, she was reassigned to the Chancery Division where she hears matters including, among others, requests for injunctions, corporate disputes, review of final administrative decisions, and trust and contract construction. She currently chairs the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Discovery Procedures and the Chancery Division Mediation Rule Committee.
